Master classes in contact dermatitis

The European Society of Contact Dermatitis is developing a new educational initiative in contact dermatitis. The purpose is to provide education resources to dermatologists in training and colleagues with an interest in contact dermatitis. Members from the society are available as speakers for small courses and meetings – with a minimum of 20 participants.

The program for the educational event can be individualised according to agreement between speakers and local organizers.

The tentative list of lecture titles includes:
1. Patch testing basics.
2. Pitfalls in diagnostic patch testing.
3. Allergic contact dermatitis from fragrances.
4. Allergic contact dermatitis to biocides and preservatives
5. Patch testing with an extended allergen series.
6. Evaluation of clinical relevance of positive patch tests

How it works:
The ESCD serves as a liaison between requests from local organisers and potential speakers.
The local organisers are expected to provide hotel and full board during the educational event
and the ESCD supports with compensation of travel expenses for the ESCD lecturers.
No honorarium is involved.
